Best Opera Recording: The Ghosts of Versailles
John Corigliano's GRAMMY® award-winning Ghosts of Versailles is a delightful opera in two acts, set in the afterlife existence of the Versailles court of Louis XVI. The story centers around an opera staged by the ghost of the playwright Beaumarchais to cheer up the ghost of Marie Antoinette, who is upset about having been beheaded.
